When the pipe is not a straight pipe and has already been bent, notching is a crucial metal pipe processing technique. This involves using a specialized die to punch a notch of a specific shape at the end or side of the pipe. This process allows two or more pipes to fit together at a precise angle, an essential preparatory step before subsequent welding or assembly. If the method needs to be changed, arc punching or milling is typically used. Compared to traditional milling or grinding, notching offers advantages such as speed, precision, and cost-effectiveness, making it particularly suitable for mass production.

What problems does arc notching machining need to solve?

The purpose of arc notch is to create arc-shaped openings on straight pipes and to cut arc-shaped openings after bending pipes.
